Create a watch rule

Rule encoding settings
Original files · cleanup for this schedule
Only successfully converted, verified sources are eligible. Keep protects originals.

Files must be unchanged across two polls. Each rule uses its own folders and settings.

    Settings

Application preferences are saved with this portable copy.

    Default source folder

Starting location when browsing for an image, video or audio file.

    No default folder

    Default output folder

    Used for immediate transcodes.

    No default folder

    Default watch folder

Pre-filled for new scheduled transcodes. Each rule can choose another folder.

    No default folder

    Default scheduled destination

Pre-filled for new scheduled transcodes. Existing rules retain their own destinations.

    No default folder
Used for new schedules. Each rule keeps its own interval.
Choose when cleanup runs and how the source should be removed. Defaults for new schedules; each schedule has its own choice. Copy errors keep the source. Verification covers the target filesystem or mount.
    Changes apply after saving.

    Activity log

Persistent operational history · local Windows account and authenticated LAN viewer address

LAN access uses a shared code, so individual remote names are unavailable. Showing the latest 1,000 events; the complete log is retained in StudioData/activity.jsonl.

    Cloud storage folders

Synced or mounted storage · no cloud passwords in Studio

OneDrive / SharePoint, Google Drive, Dropbox
Sign in using the provider’s Windows client. Choose its synced folder as your watch folder or destination. Keep watched files downloaded and available offline.

Amazon S3, Azure Blob, Google Cloud Storage and others
Use an authenticated filesystem mount such as rclone + WinFsp. Mount a drive with VFS caching enabled, then select the drive’s folders in Studio. Mounts must stay connected and writable; cached directory listings can delay discovery.

    Credentials and completion
The sync client or mounting tool manages credentials. Studio does not store provider passwords, keys or tokens. “Conversion complete” means the output was written locally or to the mount; it does not confirm cloud upload. Keep originals until the provider confirms sync. Deleting a source from a synced folder may also delete its cloud copy.

The check lists the watch folder and creates, reads and deletes a small temporary file in the destination. Your cloud client may briefly sync that test file.

Folder checks do not verify the provider’s cloud service or upload state.

    Settings for this transcode PC

One file converts at a time. FFmpeg runs separately from the interface. Queue estimates update as jobs progress and priorities change.
Use a trusted private network. Connections use HTTP. Do not forward this port to the internet. Windows may ask you to allow access on private networks.

    Remote viewing is off.

Copy an address and the code to the other PC. Filenames and conversion status are visible; full paths and detailed errors stay in Studio.

    Application details

Windows portable · Electron · bundled FFmpeg/FFprobe. Third-party notices accompany this unsigned preview build.

Preview clips cover up to 60 seconds; conversion uses the original. Log/HDR transforms, RAW development and camera-card reconstruction are not automatic.

    PORTABLE DATA LOCATION

Keep this folder when upgrading to preserve preferences, rules and history.

    Combine source types?

These schedules have identical conversion settings.

You can add the new source types to an existing schedule instead of creating another. Its name, destination, quality and polling interval stay the same.

    Advanced output settings

Recommended settings work for most files. These controls affect this schedule only.
